During these next few sessions we will cover the most important areas that I have found families to be the least prepared for but cause so much anxiety.

What is your reality as a parent and your relationship with birth parents:

  • Birth Parents as Partners- Learn how partnering can lead to positive parenting outcomes

  • Managing Your Own Grief and Loss to Parent Effectively

 

Things you need to prepare for when its time to meet the baby:

You may be getting closer to birth day and you’re excited and scared at the same time. I mean who wouldn’t be right. I will help make it a smooth process:

  • Birth Day Prep and Visitation- Know before you come to the hospital so that you are prepared

  • NICU 101- Understanding if your baby is admitted to the NICU

 

Action planning:

This is our time for game planning (emotions, mindset, fears). By now you have been experiencing a range of emotions but we have to plan for discharge. Let’s get you the supports you need for a successful home transition.
